The School of Telecommunication Engineering has four seminar rooms (capacity of 15 to 20 people) equipped with Internet access and video projectors. It is also equipped with three videoconferencing rooms (capacity of 25 to 45 people), which are suitable for holding joint meetings or seminars with other research centers.

The School of Telecommunication Engineering also has a main lecture hall with 108 seats and an auditorium with 350 seats, which are frequently used for the presentation and defense of doctoral theses, round tables, or conferences organized by the DocTIC doctoral program. Both spaces are equipped with sound and video projection systems, as well as chairs with writing tablets.

With regard to library facilities, the School of Telecommunication Engineering has a reading room with 288 seats. In addition, there is a large library in the Engineering building, and finally, the University’s Central Library. This library can be accessed through the University of Vigo’s intranet.

It should also be noted that the School of Telecommunication Engineering at the University of Vigo is prepared to facilitate access for people with disabilities to its different buildings, with facilities such as lifting platforms and access ramps.

The University of Vigo provides wireless access to the university’s internal network and, through it, to the Internet. All members of the university community have access to this service through a password linked to their personal email account provided by the university.

The atlanTTIC research center, which includes most of the research groups, has doctoral training among its main objectives. To this end, it allocates part of its financial resources to support research stays and attendance at scientific conferences for doctoral students in the DocTIC program.

The research groups associated with the Program have the necessary resources, materials, and services to ensure the satisfactory development of the proposed Doctoral Program. These are active research groups that regularly obtain research funding and travel grants to attend conferences and undertake research stays abroad or at other universities.

Doctoral students will join the research groups in which their thesis supervisor is involved. Therefore, they will have access to this type of funding to support the development of their research activities and predoctoral training.

It is expected that all doctoral students will obtain sufficient funding to carry out research stays and attend conferences.

The research groups make their research labs available to doctoral students. These include laboratories equipped with high-capacity computing equipment, which facilitates large-scale simulations and calculations, and laboratories with experimental equipment. There is a wide variety of equipment in the experimental labs, including anechoic chambers (electromagnetic and acoustic), a clean room, equipment for the generation and reception of electromagnetic signals, manufacture of printed circuit boards, measurement of power amplifiers, etc. Microwave, millimetre and terahertz frequency ranges are covered, reaching optical frequencies. There is also a modern quantum technologies laboratory with equipment for measuring microchips.
