In the event that students lack the complete prior training required by the programme, admission may be conditional upon passing specific supplementary training courses.

If this is the case, the programme, through its report, will determine the additional training that must be specified for each student by the Academic Committee of the Doctoral Programme, without exceeding 15 ECTS. These additional courses must be completed prior to or simultaneously with enrolment in the programme's academic supervision. In the case of simultaneous completion, students must enrol in these supplements at the time of formalising their enrolment in the programme. In the case of prior completion, students will only enrol in these supplements and will not sign the supervision agreement or open the Doctoral Student Activity Document until they have passed.

The training supplements must be passed within a maximum period of two consecutive semesters. Failure to do so will result in the student's withdrawal from the programme.

These specific training supplements may consist of master's and bachelor's degree subjects or modules and, for the purposes of public prices and the awarding of scholarships and study grants, will be considered as doctoral-level training. If completed in advance, they will not count towards the time limit established for completing the thesis. These credits will not count towards the standard requirements for admission to the Doctoral Programme.
