COMPETENCE BUILDING TRAINING COURSES FOR RESEARCH PERSONNEL: CALL FOR VACANCIES FOR PHD STUDENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF VIGO IN GRADschool 2014
The Barrié Foundation, in collaboration with the University of Vigo and the Universities of Coruña and Santiago de Compostela, organises a Competence Building Training Programme primarily addressed to research personnel from the universities of the Galician University System (SUG)
These are intensive courses designed to develop an inspiring and innovative training environment, which promote the acquisition of skills, tools and essential information to exploit personal potential, and leadership and decision-making abilities.
In 2014 a course addressed to pre-doctoral research staff has been organised, with 20 vacancies assigned to theUniversity of Vigo that will take place from 14 to 17 October 2014 at the “Hotel Los Abetos” in Santiago de Compostela
The course will be taught entirely in English and it will be held under a residential scheme (the organisers of the course will fund maintenance and accommodation costs; the travel cost to the place of the course is not covered).
PROCEDURE FOR COURSE’S APPLICATION
The application may be submitted by new researchers who are conducting their doctoral thesis at the University of Vigo, and who had been enrolled in their thesis stage at least during the academic year 2013-2014
In all cases, an advanced English level is required (level B2 of the Common Framework of Reference for Languages, or equivalent).
The applicants must complete Form I, and send it to vicinv@uvigo.es with deadline on 19 September until 14.00h, indicating in the Subject “Application GRADschool vacancy”
The Research Commission, delegate of the Governing Board, will be in charge of the selection, taking into account the criteria listed in the form.

CURSOS DE FORMACIÓN COMPETENCIAL PARA PERSOAL INVESTIGADOR: CONVOCATORIA DE PRAZAS PARA DOUTORANDOS/AS DA UNIVERSIDADE DE VIGO EN GRADschool 2014
A Fundación BARRIÉ, en colaboración coa Universidade de Vigo e as universidades da Coruña e Santiago de Compostela, organiza un programa de Formación en Competencias dirixido principalmente a persoal investigador das Universidades do SUG.
Son cursos intensivos deseñados para desenvolver un entorno de formación inspirador e innovador, no que se potencia a adquisición de competencias, ferramentas e información esencial para aproveitar o potencial persoal, e as capacidades de liderazgo e de toma de decisións.
No ano 2014 organizase un curso destinado a persoal investigador predoutoral, con 20 prazas asignadas á Universidade de Vigo e que terá lugar do 14 ao 17 de outubro de 2014 no Hotel Los Abetos de Santiago de Compostela.
O curso impartirase íntegramente en inglés e celebrarase en réxime de convivencia (os organizadores do curso financian a manutención e o aloxamento; o traslado ao lugar do curso non está cuberto).
PROCEDEMENTO PARA A SOLICITUDE DO CURSO
- Poderán presentar solicitude os investigadores/as novos/as que estean a realizar a súa tese de doutoramento na Universidade de Vigo, e que estiveran matriculados na etapa de tese como mínimo no curso 2013-14.
En todos os casos, requírese un nivel avanzado de coñecemento de inglés (nivel B2 do Marco Común de Referencia para as Linguas, ou equivalente).
- Os/as solicitantes deberán cumprimentar o Formulario I, e envialo a vicinv@uvigo.es con data límite ata as 14 h do 19 de setembro de 2014, indicando no Asunto “Solicitude praza GRADschool”
- A Comisión de Investigación, delegada do Consello de Goberno, será a encargada de realizar a selección, tendo en conta os criterios indicados na convocatoria.
